So, remember how Ben and started tearing out the old flooring in our kitchen and hallway? Well, it's done. We finished it over my spring break--the week before Easter. We are very excited about the end results. Now that the floor is done, we will refinish the existing cabinets and we are adding a butcher block counter top. This process is slow-going but I will post pics as we go.
This is a pic of the 8 boxes of flooring we used to do the hall and kitchen. 8 boxes! Crazy!

First we laid red water-proofing, and protecting pad on the new subfloor.

Here is a pic of the newly laid, hand-scraped walnut bamboo floor. Nice, huh?
